Summary of the Role
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales and working closely with the Sales Manager of the GTA region, the US Sales Manager will be supported by the highly-capable and knowledgeable sales leaders based in Canada.
As the US Sales Manager, your primary responsibility will be to nurture clients through the full sales cycle in the Northeastern region. You will be supported by engineering, estimating and marketing to ensure the client has all the information needed to understand the full value proposition mass timber provides.
On a day-to-day basis you will lead the sales efforts in building relationships with existing and new clients whilst closely managing the negotiation of new contracts. You will foster relationships with general contractors, developers, architecture and design community as main sources of referrals and insight to upcoming projects and opportunities in the Northeast USA. This role will work in partnership with Element5 internal marketing team who focus on educating and driving subject matter expertise and value-added content to your target audiences.
Your stakeholders will be land owners, general contractors, design and architecture firms plus institutions and corporations. It is anticipated that the sweet spot for the projects will be 4-10 storey buildings in the $1M-$5M range that include multi-unit residential buildings, mid-rise developments, banks, restaurants, hotels, offices, mixed use buildings and institutions. They will partner with other organizations for larger projects and the relationships you develop will be crucial to these opportunities being realized.
