Summary of the Role

As an integral member of the Senators Sports & Entertainment executive team, the SVP, Marketing & Customer Engagement is a strategic leader with shared accountability for driving growth and innovation and achieving targeted business outcomes.

As the SVP, Marketing & Customer Engagement, you will have oversight of a team of highly engaged professionals in the areas of brand, digital and social marketing, customer experience and innovation, and analytics and data insight, and you will work closely with corporate communications and media relations to develop and support proactive and reactive communications.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and delivering an outstanding experience for all ticket, premium and corporate customers, partners, fans, and guests at event, hockey, community, and brand engagements. You will be a critical lead in the strategy and delivery of memorable off-ice entertainment experiences on game days that rival other NHL and professional sports teams’ game-day entertainment. 

The marketing portfolio is diverse and will require you to lead, grow, and champion a consistent brand strategy and messaging plan, delivered through integrated marketing and media campaigns that leverage digital marketing, traditional media, social, partnerships, and community channels. 

You will oversee brand and digital marketing, including creative, campaigns, content, website and social media, ensuring that the content delivered is unique and engaging.

You will be a key stakeholder in the organization’s growth and innovation process and will identify insight-driven opportunities to improve experiences and drive efficiency across the business. You will lead the collection, analysis, and application of customer, competitive, and market data and insights to effectively identify needs, trends, and opportunities to drive short and long-term revenue goals and strategic initiatives. Through your influence and leadership, you will support the creation of the customer, fan and guest journeys, and identify opportunities to enhance the experience. 

Stakeholder management will be critical as you call on your ability to establish and optimize external relationships with the community, players, alumni, and media, and internal relationships with diverse groups. You will work closely with Sales and Operations leadership to develop and execute comprehensive and measurable customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty marketing strategies to drive brand engagement and revenue across the SenatorsSports & Entertainment portfolio. You will also be a key partner to the Senators CommunityFoundation and Hockey Operations for community, player, and alumni engagement.
