Leadership Role
You will be responsible for owning the ORBCOMM platform, which unifies all data and analytics into a single place. Your aim is to oversee the platform’s development and guide the transition of clients to the upgraded system.
Product Management
You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance of the software engineering team, and be accountable for the adequate resource allocations for executing software development programs on time and within budget.
Collaboration & Communication
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Account Managers, Customer Experience, and Training, to ensure that clients are transitioning seamlessly and have all necessary support during the process. You will work closely with the development teams to turn specifications into work items, cost and prioritize those work items, and drive the team sprints.

Skills & Experience
Experience
You are an experienced Senior Product Manager who has worked in enterprise platform product management roles for 2+ years. You may have previously supported clients within the transportation industry or those that run adjacent. Experience with agile product development processes would also be an advantage.
Analytical & Strategic
You will bring your experience in project management to ensure a seamless transition for customers. If you bring domain expertise in making data actionable, and you have prior product management experience, then this could be the high-impact role and great opportunity you are looking for.
Background
You have experience with product discovery processes such as structured client interviews and product discovery sprints. You are comfortable working with global, cross-functional teams to ensure the success of the defined strategy.
Education & Client Support
Ideally, you hold an undergraduate degree in a technical discipline such as computer science or engineering, and have either worked in or have a solid understanding of IoT. You may have previously supported clients within the transportation industry.
Communication
Excellent communication skills are a must, and you feel comfortable presenting to customers, executives, and internal audiences.
Technology
You have experience working with B2B clients and have worked with enterprise platforms. You are comfortable with technology, and have strong UI/UX knowledge.
Summary of the Role
As the Senior Product Manager (Platform) at ORBCOMM, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company’s leading-edge IoT solutions. Reporting to the Sr. VP of Product Management, you will work closely with other Product Managers, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Experience teams to understand their clients’ needs, refine data and metrics, and develop a product vision that maximizes ORBCOMM’s impact on the market. You will be responsible for owning the ORBCOMM platform, which unifies all data and analytics into a single place. Your aim is to oversee the platform’s development and guide the transition of clients to the upgraded system.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Account Managers, Customer Experience, and Training, to ensure that clients are transitioning seamlessly and have all necessary support during the process. You will work closely with the development teams to turn specifications into work items, cost and prioritize those work items, and drive the team sprints. You will be responsible for the roadmap of our platform and will monitor KPIs and report the progress to the company.
While the position will initially be focused on the platform migration project, once the data migration is complete, you will have the opportunity to pivot to be entirely focused on Product Management within the UI/UX space, and work with clients to incorporate data and analytics into their processes seamlessly and in the most efficient way.
