Summary of the Role
Under the supervision of the Infrastructure Manager, the Network Engineer will be actively contributing to and leading substantial projects, including divisional expansions. Your core responsibilities will encompass the design, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructure within the framework of ITIL practices.
Your duties extend to evaluating opportunities for enhancing IT infrastructure performance, incorporating automation into our environments, and ensuring strict adherence to company policies and industry best practices. Additionally, you will be tasked with generating and upkeeping engineering documentation and fostering effective collaboration within a team setting.
This role necessitates a solid foundation in networking, encompassing a deep understanding of protocols like TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS, as well as proficiency in configuring, installing, and maintaining networking equipment, particularly Cisco technologies. Your skill set should encompass various networking technologies such as firewalls, layer 2 switching and software defined networking, alongside familiarity with hypervisor technologies including VMware andNSX-T. Essential attributes include adept troubleshooting capabilities, WAN and internal networking administration skills, and a background in the IT services sector or related industries.
