Background
In operations, supply chain, or even warehousing management, with a focus on production control and supply chain
Credentials
You will have your CPIM, SCMP, or APIC Accreditation or a post secondary degree in operations or supply chain
Improvements
You have championed process improvements in previous roles, ideally having implemented, and run an ERP system
Leadership
You know how to drive incentive with teams and motivate them to elevate their performance
Certified
Project Management and Health & Safety certifications are a must

Summary of the Role
Reporting directly to the President, the Director, Production Control and Materials Management is responsible for the overall management and oversight of Airbus Helicopters Canada (AHC) material flow. There is a priority focus on customer satisfaction and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to ensure clarity, consistency and communication of their requirements. This is inclusive of both internal customers including, AC Completions, R&O & Manufacturing, as well as a wide external customers base. With key performance indicators for on-time delivery and customer satisfaction as drivers and contributing to AHC competencies and within the global Airbus Helicopters framework.
You will be responsible for the leading, managing workload, and developing goals, to monitor the performance and established metrics of departments including, Purchasing, Warehouse, Customs, and Traffic. With production control and warehousing being the bulk of your responsibilities, you will be accountable for overall coordination and management of scheduling and capacity. You will oversee the procurement unit with a focus on cost reduction and best value. Running the department efficiently and driving value will be a core mandate while ensuring an efficient use of resources and making practical decisions or changes, advantageous for the organization.
Within your teams you will assess and develop people strengths and competences according to future business needs and individual career plans. You will foster a productive and rewarding environment identifying and promoting talents, while developing accountability and providing real-time feedback. This includes ensuring a positive health and safety mind-set in the workplace.
This position is part of the Senior Leadership Team and you will be expected to provide strategic and operational leadership to the company. As a group you will set goals, develop strategies, and ensure the strategies are executed effectively. The executive team functions as a collective leadership body, and serves as the model that teams throughout the organization will follow. You will interface with local and international stakeholders and have an impact on the image of AHC both internally and externally.
