Position: National Director of Marketing & Communications

Location: Oakville, ON

To achieve this, FEX provides business families and their advisors with a unique blend of shared wisdom and experience, and the world’s best, leading-edge thinking and knowledge. With over 800,000 family enterprises in Canada, there is a critical need for experienced and expert advisors who understand the nuances unique to Family Enterprise. FEX is committed to helping advisors succeed by empowering them with access to global best practices and by giving them an opportunity to earn the unique knowledge and understanding that comes with the accredited FEA designation. A key component for FEX members is the Personal Advisory Groups, which bring 8-10 family business members together in a confidential forum monthly to share experiences, challenge issues and provide a unique platform where business and family matters can be discussed without recourse or judgement. Ultimately, FEX is here to propel enterprising families to new heights. Working through local Chapters and a national movement, FEX connects, supports, inspires, educates, and advocates for our Family Enterprise community.

Skills & Experience

Marketing and Communications

At least 6 years' experience

Marketing Strategy

Proven success creating and executing strategies

Social Media

Development of engaging social media plans

Digital Marketing

Strength in digital marketing skills and utilizing tools


Experience leading a team

Professional Services Industry

Marketing experience in memberships or associations

Summary of the Role

This role has been created to develop and execute a highly effective strategy to raise the profile, awareness and brand of Family Enterprise Xchange (FEX) with the family enterprise community across Canada and with all external stakeholders. As a member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for all marketing and communication activities, creating a consistent message and building a brand that is recognized across Canada and supports the overall growth and development of the organization.
