Skills & Experience

Experience

You will have a minimum of 7 years in public accounting with 2 of those years focused in M&A

Accreditation

Accredited with the completion of a CPA accounting designation

Role Experience

Proven success in creating long-term relationships at a senior client level, taking a lead role in delivering M&A advisory services

Background

You are experienced in project problem diagnosis, solution development, facilitation of decision making, documentation, and project profitability.

Strong Communicator

Ability to articulate information memoranda, business plans, and information specific to a target business

Thorough Technical Analysis

In areas such as historical trading, quality of earnings, and working capital, ensuring to report any potential key issues

Summary of the Role

As a M&A Transaction Services Senior Manager, you will be working towards closing large and midsize transactions across Canada, building a trusted client base and continuously progressing the growth of yourself and your team.

This role plays a critical function as part of the largest M&A practice in the country. Assisting clients in achieving their growth goals through acquisition is the key focus of the job, leading financial due diligence and providing exemplary advisory service. All the while developing a career path based on your preferred strengths within M&A.

From a client facing standpoint you will actively be involved in engagement, satisfaction, and retention. You will gain the confidence and trust of clients by effectively proving yourself in all aspects of technical analysis, research, and risk mitigation. It is key that you are patient and empathetic as you work diligently to understand clients’ goals and capabilities. You will create a clear narrative to help guide clients in making informed decisions when it comes to evaluating businesses and driving negotiations.

Using your project management abilities, you will be responsible for ensuring milestones and deliverables are met within the expected timelines and budget. You will work with your colleagues as a collaborative unit that creates value for clients undergoing a merger, acquisition, divestiture, even alliances or joint ventures. You will support clients in all stages of the M&A lifecycle and develop long lasting relationships at a senior client level.

It will be expected that you showcase strong leadership skills, as an M&A Transaction Services Senior Manager, plays a critical role in the coaching and development of staff to reach their full potential. Most importantly, you will be responsible for creating a fun, inclusive, and collaborative environment while carrying out the vision of the organization through operations and group culture.
