Skills & Experience
Bilingual
Fluency in both French and English, oral and written, is a prerequisite, facilitating interaction with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Experience
With substantial experience in federally regulated industries, you have effectively collaborated with leadership to support HR programs, initiatives, and employee relations.
Education
Holding a post-secondary diploma in human resources administration, along with a CHRP designation, is advantageous.
Interpersonal Skills
Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to navigate complex situations with tact, discretion, and sound judgment.
Time Management
Adherence to standards and deadlines necessitates excellent organizational and time management skills.
Innovative
Proficiency in project management and creative problem-solving is desirable, offering opportunities to innovate and enhance corporate processes.
Summary of the Role
You will be responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and supporting both management and employees. By collaborating closely with the leadership team, you will influence the strategic direction of CPAC’s HR policies and practices, ensuring they are in alignment with the organization’s overarching goals. This strategic partnership will be key to fostering a work environment that supports both organizational success and employee satisfaction.
One of your primary responsibilities will be ensuring compliance with federal labor standards as outlined in the Canada Labour Code Part. This involves working in tandem with senior management to develop and monitor comprehensive HR strategies, systems, and procedures across the organization. Your role will also encompass providing mentorship and coaching to managers and employees in areas such as training, performance management, and conflict resolution.
In your capacity as HR Manager, you will manage health and safety programs, including necessary training and reporting requirements.
Recruitment and onboarding are also key components of your role. You will oversee the recruitment processes, which include drafting job postings, identifying effective recruitment channels, screening candidates, and participating in interviews. Furthermore, you will manage the onboarding and orientation process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
Finally, you will play an instrumental role in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that support the strategic objectives of CPAC.
