Summary of the Role
The General Manager (GM) for the National Capital Region is a key leadership position with a dual mandate, requiring operational oversight and a strong commercial focus. The primary objective of this role is to spearhead the strategic expansion of Raymond Doors & Trims into the Ontario market.
Initially, the GM will concentrate on two key areas: stabilizing and growing the existing residential operations in Gatineau, which run out of a dedicated plant on Airport Boulevard, and driving market penetration into Ottawa. This unique opportunity involves building and scaling a regional business unit, and concurrently, the GM will be responsible for exploring and pursuing strategic partnerships and acquisition opportunities to accelerate growth and strengthen the company’s competitive position within the region.
At its core, this role is highly market-facing, with a strong emphasis on sales and brand development. The GM will act as the primary ambassador of the organization, focusing on building trusted relationships with owners, trades, and key decision-makers within general contractors, sub-trades and distributors. Once relationships are established and initial agreements secured, day-to-day account management will transition to the internal sales team. Success in this role will be driven by the ability to open doors, build credibility, and position Raymond Doors & Trims as a reliable, high-quality partner in a competitive and price-sensitive market.
Importantly, the structure of the organization allows the GM to remain fully focused on growth and operations. Corporate shared services provide support across finance, HR, and administrative functions, enabling the GM to dedicate their time to sales leadership, field engagement, and operational oversight. This streamlined model is designed to maximize impact in the market, ensuring that the General Manager can focus on what matters most—driving revenue, strengthening relationships, and delivering consistent service excellence.
