Executive Director @Youturn
Company: Youturn
Position: Executive Director
Location: Ottawa
Youturn is a regional non-profit charity that provides intensive services and support to youth, in conflict with the law, and their families. Its goal is to help clients shift to active participation in society and make choices that will help them remain in the community, avoid future conflict with the law and succeed in their lives. The team at Youturn knows they can make a difference. Research demonstrates that more than half of young people who come into conflict with the law will break the law again in the future if no one steps in to help them. Research also reveals that effective programming for youth who are at high risk of reoffending will reduce this risk by as much as 35%. Youturn uses these statistics to provide an array of comprehensive, informed and individualized services derived from assessments of risk, needs and strengths of its clients. Youturn delivers community services with the participation of family and other community partners.
