James Baker Wows the Talent Summit Crowd with Keynote Address on the Modernization of Recruitment
James‘ keynote presentation addressed Ottawa’s local market realities and challenges, the evolution of the recruitment process from reactive to proactive, employer branding and marketing, using data to predict hiring needs, the use of AI in recruitment, how to engage applicants and new hires through tech, and his thoughts on what the next 5 years will bring to the industry.
The Ottawa Talent Summit was presented by the Ottawa Board of Trade and the Ottawa Business Journal and was a dedicated two-day event to one of the city’s most pressing business issues: developing, recruiting, retaining and maximizing employee talent.
On day one, our Chief Leadership Officer and ForbesBooks author Craig Dowden, delivered the keynote address on the science and practice of positive leadership.
Day two saw our CEO, James Baker deliver opening remarks with Michael Curran, Publisher of the Ottawa Business Journal as well as the keynote address.
In addition, James moderated a panel on The Future of Work and Technology and the Workplace. The panel included Chantal Boyer-Casey, Principal, 4té and Andrea Greenhous, Vison2Voice Communications.
