Summary of the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director, Business & Community Partnerships, is a pivotal position within the Ottawa Board of Trade (OBOT) aimed at strengthening engagement with key business partners and expanding membership.
In this dynamic role, you will develop and execute strategies to attract and retain business members, emphasizing the creation and delivery of compelling value propositions and benefits that meet the diverse needs of the business community. A significant aspect of your work will include leading the membership team in robust efforts to grow the membership by clearly articulating OBOT’s value and solidifying their role as a key player in the business sector. You will utilize the latest digital tools and real-time reporting systems to track membership engagement and outcomes. You will manage and significantly expand the pillar partner program, which targets key Ottawa businesses particularly interested in supporting strategic initiatives like downtown revitalization, advocacy and city building. Furthermore, you will oversee the continuous development and refinement of member benefits and value propositions, ensuring they are effectively monetized and aligned with the needs of the business community to drive revenue increases.
Your leadership will be crucial in guiding your team to advance OBOT’s strategic objectives.You will work closely with the events and communications teams, coordinating efforts to ensure a unified approach to community outreach and engagement. Externally you will also partner with local organizations to increase OBOT’s visibility and influence.
