Leadership

You will lead initiatives to increase OCF's visibility and engagement within the community, thereby growing the donor pipeline and enhancing fundraising efforts.

Expertise

Your extensive knowledge in government relations and public relations enables you to craft compelling messages that enhance brand visibility and foster meaningful connections within the community.

Bilingual

As an exceptional communicator who is fluent in both official languages, you engage diverse audiences with ease, ensuring that your messages resonate across various demographics.

Summary of the Role

As part of OCF’s commitment to growth and sustainable development, the inaugural Vice President (VP), Communications and Marketing will play a crucial role in shaping the foundation’s narrative, increasing brand awareness and driving donor acquisition efforts.

Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the VP, Communications & Marketing will drive OCF’s strategic communication and marketing initiatives. This position involves a comprehensive rebuild of the communications function, requiring a visionary leader who can develop and implement an integrated communications, marketing, and advocacy strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing OCF’s public profile and reputation, ensuring that the organization’s messaging aligns with its mission and resonates with diverse stakeholders.

You will craft a long-term communications strategy that aligns with OCF’s upcoming strategic plan, focusing on maximizing organizational capacity and community impact. You will lead initiatives to increase OCF’s visibility and engagement within the community, thereby growing the donor pipeline and enhancing fundraising efforts. Overseeing public relations and government relations will be a key responsibility, ensuring effective communication with key stakeholders, including government officials, community organizations, and the media. Additionally, you will manage the production of the community reports, which serve as a vital tool for assessing community needs and showcasing OCF’s impact. Building and leading a highperforming communications team will also be crucial, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability
