Skills & Experience


7+ years of management experience supporting operations on a North American and ideally global scale


Completed post-secondary education in HR or an equivalent subject and will ideally have a professional HR designation as well


You have a strong grasp of HR principles, policies and best practices

HR Leadership

You are able to provide valuable counsel and assistance on various HR matters


Strong problem-solving skills and experience managing conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment


Ability to create a positive and supportive work environment that contributes to the success of both the organization and its people

Summary of the Role

Working closely with and reporting to the Vice President of Global Human Resources, the Human Resources Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of all aspects of HR including global payroll, benefits and compensation.

In this newly created role, you will lead a team of regional HR representatives across North America, Europe, Asia and Africa and a team of payroll and benefits specialists, coaching and mentoring them to be more strategic in the delivery of HR tactics. You will play a crucial role in supporting the HR team and ensuring smooth and efficient operations of HR tactics and legislative policy and procedures to meet ORBCOMM’s goals and objectives. 

As the HR Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of HR policies and procedures across the globe, including providing input to revamping policies and upgrading employee handbooks. You will lead HR projects such as the upcoming integration of payroll and benefits under the HR function and the expansion of modules within the HRIS. You will coordinate with various internal stakeholders, including global business leads and other corporate functions such as finance and IT, to ensure a seamless integration of systems and processes. You will also be responsible for conducting thorough testing and quality assurance to guarantee accurate and efficient payroll and benefits administration. It is critical that you are a strong communicator and collaborator to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with ORBCOMM’s goals.

In addition to the core HR operational tasks, you will be responsible for analyzing HR data and metrics to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations for process improvements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline HR processes and procedures and enhance the employee experience. You will serve as a key point of contact for employees, addressing their HR-related inquiries and providing guidance on policies and procedures. In addition to internal stakeholders, you will also manage vendor relationships, such as HR software providers and benefits providers, to optimize service delivery.
