The Nepean, Rideau, and Osgoode Community Resource Centre (NROCRC) is a multi-service community organization that supports individuals, families, and communities in need to positively impact their overall health and well-being. NROCRC is a non-profit charitable organization that provides equitable access to programs and services serving diverse communities, including newcomers, children and youth, and a growing seniors population. NROCRC supports a population of over 200,000 people and the largest physical territory of all of Ottawa’s community health and resource centres.
Skills & Experience
Background
Not-for-profit management, social work, community development, social sciences, or a related discipline
Ottawa Community
Familiarity with the City's dynamics will enable you to navigate effectively and advocate for the organization

Summary of the Role
The Executive Director plays a crucial role in the effective leadership and operational oversight of NROCRC. As the Executive Director, your key duties and responsibilities encompass the execution of board policies and decisions, operational planning and service delivery, financial management, human resources management, risk mitigation, and fostering positive community relations.
Collaborating closely with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is tasked with defining the operational trajectory of the organization, ensuring that it remains in line with the updated strategic plan that you will develop. Central to this role is the responsibility for maintaining the financial stability of the organization, fostering a culture of inclusive leadership, and promoting community well-being through a client-centric approach.
In essence, you will serve as the linchpin in steering NROCRC towards its goals and objectives, while upholding the values of transparency, accountability, and community engagement. By effectively managing the organization’s resources, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, and prioritizing the needs of the community, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the continued success and impact of NROCRC in serving its constituents and fulfilling its mission. You will act as the lead spokesperson for NROCRC, positively shaping the opinion of the community and garnering support for the programs provided by the organization.
