Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000

Skills & Experience

Experience

You are an accomplished emergency management professional with at least ten years of progressively senior experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs in high-pressure environments.

Background

You bring deep knowledge of federal, provincial, and municipal legislation and understand how to apply regulatory requirements and industry best practices to client needs with confidence and accuracy.

Leadership

Your leadership style is collaborative, diligent and energizing, motivating teams while fostering trust, engagement, and professional growth.

Expertise

Your expertise spans the full spectrum of emergency management principles, including incident command, all-hazard planning, business continuity, and disaster recovery.

Analytical

You are skilled at translating complex technical concepts into clear, meaningful insights for clients, whether through reports, exercises, or presentations.

Education

Your educational foundation includes a post-secondary degree in emergency management or a related discipline.

Summary of the Role

The Director, Emergency Management and All-Hazard Training is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic alignment, operational excellence, and organizational readiness within the Response and Readiness division.

Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Loomex Group, you will oversee the full development, planning, and execution of emergency management programs, response, training, and continuity-of-operations initiatives for both internal and external clients. You will ensure that all programs, training, policies, procedures, exercises, and operational frameworks meet all federal, provincial and municipal legislative requirements, reflect industry best practices, and align with Loomex’s broader strategic priorities. Through your leadership, you will ensure that communities and clients are better prepared to protect lives, maintain essential services and recover more effectively when emergencies occur.

This role requires deep collaboration across other Loomex branches and companies and with external partners to ensure cohesive service delivery and high-quality client support. With the support of the Executive Vice President, you will lead performance planning and measurement for your unit, establishing goals, targets, and service levels while assessing risks and identifying opportunities for improvement. As the organization’s subject matter expert in emergency management and all-hazard training, you will provide technical leadership, guide complex problem-solving, and represent Loomex in internal and external working groups, committees, and forums. In this capacity, you will help shape how emergency management programs translate into real-world outcomes for communities, improving readiness, coordination and confidence across diverse and often high-risk environments.
