Financial Analysis & Business Planning

You will possess proven experience providing financial analysis and business planning advice informed by a deep understanding of systems, reporting, and P&L management. Your ability to develop and implement financial and data-driven business strategies and metrics will be crucial to the firm’s ongoing success.

Collaboration & Communication

You are comfortable and familiar working with an executive team to establish business objectives and measure them against KPIs to drive strategic decision-making. You are described as a self-motivated, persuasive, and driven individual with strong communication skills and a balanced approach to leadership.

Experience & Education

With both interest and experience in professional service firms, your undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Finance, or a suitable combination of education and experience, will serve as the foundation for your work at Tactix.

Summary of the Role

As Director, Business Enablement you will be laser-focused on implementing the plans of the Managing Partner, owners, and the executive committee – of which you will be the sole employee member. You will play a critical role in ensuring the long-term success and growth of the firm. Reporting to the Managing Partner, and working hand-in-glove with owners and the executive committee to optimize the team’s human resource, project management, business intelligence, time management, and financial systems, you will lead strategic initiatives to streamline operations, and drive organizational effectiveness. This role is crucial to ensuring that the business maintains its client-focus, while driving growth and maximizing efficiency across the organization.

You will lead the development of the firm’s compliance frameworks, business intelligence, and decision-support capabilities, overseeing financial analysis and performance evaluation, with a view to delivering data-driven business planning advice to the firm’s shareholders.

To accomplish this, you will work closely with the Managing Partner, owners, and executive committee to establish and enforce compliance measures, key performance metrics, analyze data, and develop insights that will drive strategic decision-making and planning. This will include ensuring that the business intelligence and financial analysis systems and processes are up-to-date, accurate, and efficient to support the firm’s ongoing development. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with, and finalizing the implementation and integration of the firm’s software solution for business development, project, and time management. Moreover, you will build an operations team with exceptional project management, time management, and financial capabilities; as well as manage relations with external legal counsel and other service providers.

To maintain employee and client confidence in the firm and sustain its high rate of growth, you will implement, manage, and ensure compliance with the necessary systems. The firm’s approach to compliance consists of two dimensions: client-driven compliance and internal compliance measures.

With regard to client-driven compliance, it is essential to understand and comply with our clients’ ethics, data security and privacy, confidentiality, non-compete, and invoicing systems. This will require developing strong working relationships with Tactix’s clientele, owners, and consultants. As for internal compliance measures, it is crucial to regularly assess the effectiveness of existing systems for time entry, budget management, project management, accounting, and reporting, and to continuously improve compliance framework based on these assessments.

You will encourage the promotion of a highly collaborative, transparent, and empathetic workplace culture while ensuring the timely processing, payment, and collection of expenses, invoices, and accounts payable. It will be essential that you create and implement suitable processes and procedures to guarantee maximum efficiency and confidence when servicing clientele.

Additionally, you will secure agreements with key post-secondary institutions to develop a pipeline of talent with which to continue building the culture, capabilities, and growth of the firm.

As Director, Business Enablement, you will build and lead a high-performing business planning, finance, and operations team. You will act as a trusted advisor to the Managing Partner and offer fearless advice to all members of the firm’s executive committee. You will help identify revenue generation, investment, and new business opportunities.
