Summary of the Role
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Controller is a high-impact role designed to serve as the technical engine of the firm’s financial operations. In this capacity, you are the linchpin that ensures the smooth execution of accounting functions across a complex web of corporate entities, holding companies, and project limited partnerships (LPs). This is not a maintenance role; it is an execution role focused on process excellence, team leadership, and the delivery of high-accuracy financial data.
Your primary mandate is to optimize the established accounting workflows, while simultaneously working with your leadership team to develop the new systems required for emerging business needs. By centralizing and optimizing these workflows, you will ensure the reporting engine is not only technically sound but scalable, providing the leadership team with the analysis required to make informed strategic decisions. Beyond technical oversight, you are responsible for the ongoing development of your team and the implementation of the tools—including AI and automation—required to make the department run with total confidence.
