En tant qu’organisation de la société civile, l’ACNU est une voix politique sur le multilatéralisme au Canada. Mise sur pied en 1946, l’ACNU était une membre fondatrice de la Fédération mondiale des associations pour les Nations Unies. Summary of the Role
This Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be responsible for providing inspirational leadership, strategic direction and the oversight of business administration. Key facets of this mandate will include relationship management, overseeing the fundraising performance and the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic objectives. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for furthering the mission of UNA-Canada and formulating strategic initiatives that enhance the impact of the organization.
It will be important that this CEO leverage the expertise of the board and build a strong reporting relationship with the board members. UNA-Canada enjoys a prestigious reputation and is well-respected both domestically and internationally. This CEO will need to utilize this brand equity to continue to enhance and reinforce the status of this historic organization.
This role requires an experienced and ambitious visionary who has a transparent and approachable leadership style. The CEO will be instrumental in the financial stewardship of the organization through revenue generation and cost containment. One of the keys to this success in this role will be to continue to maintain and enhance relationships with Federal government stakeholders. As the organization currently navigates a change management process, this CEO will be directly involved in building upon the existing strong foundation and ensuring the organization continues to lead Canada’s civil society on the global stage. This CEO will directly impact the establishment of an organizational culture that values innovation and prioritizes diversity, equity and inclusion.

Il sera important que ce DG tire parti de l’expertise du conseil d’administration et qu’il bâtisse une relation solide avec ses membres. L’ACNU jouit d’une réputation prestigieuse et est bien respectée, tant à l’échelle nationale qu’internationale. Ce DG devra utiliser la valeur de cette marque pour faire continuer d’améliorer et de renforcer le statut de cette organisation historique.
Ce rôle exige un visionnaire chevronné et ambitieux dont le style de leadership est à la fois transparent et accessible. Le DG sera essentiel à l’intendance financière de l’organisation par la production de revenus et la limitation des coûts.
