Keynote Search Helps Raise $5,800,285 for Children’s Causes at 24hr Tremblant

During the weekend of December 10th, 2022, Keynote Search participated in 24hr Tremblant, a fundraising event which supports three important foundations dedicated to children’s causes: Fondation Charles- Bruneau, the CHEO Foundation, and the Fondation Tremblant.

24hr Tremblant is Quebec’s #1 winter sport challenge, as teams relay each other for 24 consecutive hours either skiing, snowboarding, alpine touring, walking, or running. It is an incredible movement of solidarity, millions of dollars raised for children’s causes, 24 hours of team fun, an incomparable sporting challenge, and an electrifying atmosphere. This year there were a total of 485 teams and 4,363 individual participants who took part.

In the weeks leading up to the event, CEO and Co-Founder, James Baker, and Partner and Co-Founder, Donna Baker, undertook donation drives to raise funds for the cause. Local Ottawa business leaders and friends also joined James, Donna, and son Jack in their fundraising efforts and on the slopes including: Matthew Carr of Gifford Carr Insurance Group, Jeff Westeinde of Westeinde Group, Vanessa and Sylvian Houle of Fire-Alert, Nilufer Erdebil of Spring2Innovation, Stacey McMillan of KPMG, Matthew DiCintio and Jennifer Cross of MARANT Construction, Kevin Barwin of Clariti Group Inc., and Michael Maidment of Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.

Collectively, the team raised $32,125, making them the top fundraising team from the National Capital Region. 24hr Tremblant as a whole raised a whopping $5,800,285 to help provide financial support to foundations to help them meet the needs of children with physical or mental illnesses and impairments, special needs, or who are living in disadvantaged areas.

Thank you to all those who donated and to sponsors NewFound Recruiting, Cresa Ottawa, and McCabe Promotional Advertising Inc. We’ll be back for 2023!
