Kyle Turk Featured in the Ottawa Citizen for Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation Fundraiser
Kyle Turk (Vice President of Marketing at Keynote Search) was recently featured in the Ottawa Citizen on the Social Scene page for his recent fundraising efforts for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. To date Kyle has raised $7,916 through the release of music in dedication to his two close friends, Darren Bishop and Blair Nelson, that lost battles to cancer in their late 20’s. By collaborating with Gold Certified recording artist JRDN, he dedicated a short song in their memory called “All My Dawgz Go To Heaven”, followed by a remix of the song featuring Canadian hip-hop artist Quake Matthews.
Every time the song is downloaded and streamed the royalties will be donated to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. In addition to the royalties, Kyle has raised money through a fundraising page and teasing the release of his music until he hit fundraising milestones of $5000 and then $7500 for the remix. The fundraising page remains open as he continues to raise money for the Foundation.
Previously Kyle raised $19,200 for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, in memory of his friends by participating in Fight for the Cure in 2019, where he wore their initials on the chest of my robe as he entered the ring.
