In 1896, the Doran family planted the seeds of an extremely successful contracting business. Doran is an industrial, commercial and institutional construction general contractor capable of completing projects ranging from multi-tenant condominiums to senior’s residences, retail plazas, office buildings, bridges and pump stations as well as transit stations and tunnels. Doran Contractors has completed countless complex projects in the Ottawa area in its many years of continuous operation. These include much of the Transitway in Ottawa, as it exists today, and significant projects including Centre Block Underground Services Building (Parliament Hill), Plaza Bridge Rehabilitation, East Market Condominiums, CBC Headquarters and the Royal Military College dormitories. Doran Contractors was acquired by the Taggart Group of Companies in 1983, and today they often work together on major projects. Their complementary skills allow them to fulfill every project milestone and deliver the best possible construction experience. Summary of Role

Reporting to the President you will play a key role in ensuring that various projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Your primary responsibility will be oversight of the delivery of construction projects including outlining and managing the scope of work for the project and the entire project team.

With a detail-oriented mindset, you will resolve any quality issues with materials or installation during construction and prepare financial reports and issue cash flow statements. As you liaise with stakeholders and senior management teams, you will prepare and oversee the project timelines including scheduling requirements that are needed from trades, consultants, suppliers and vendors. Taking accountability for projects from inception to culmination while managing budgets. You will manage and lead a team of Project Coordinators while maintaining client relationships and managing ongoing communications. In addition, you will liaise regularly with Construction Superintendents, Administrators, etc..
