Skills & Experience

Property Accounting You will have at least 2+ years experience in the residential property management industry
Computer Skills You will also have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
Software Comfortability You will also likely have experience working with property management software such as MRI, Yardi and/or Spectra
Accounts Receivable Expertise Confidence to analyze the complexity of various interrelationships within the business structures
Team Player Mentality You will have a flexible, “can-do” and “no task is too big or too small” attitude
Autonomous Working Experience Experience working independently, managing your own busy schedule that includes multiple deadlines at once

Summary of Role

Reporting to the Controller, you will be managing the revenue side of Lépine’s properties. You will be responsible for collecting and recording receivables, with the large bulk of it being the revenue of rental properties. With a keen eye for detail, you will be accountable for both data entry and ongoing account maintenance. You will ensure that the entry of residents’ cash receipts, posting of recurring charge schedules and electronic payment records are entered in a timely fashion. You will reconcile resident ledgers, along with rent roll and resident deposits for Lepine’s portfolio properties. On a daily basis, you will be updating, reconciling and applying interested to bank deposits. Additionally, you will be reviewing and processing monthly PAD’s and processing the returned payments.

At the end of your first year, your success will be measured by your ability to gain the trust of your colleagues and develop strong working relationships with the Controller, the President, Property Manager and Administrators. You will be supporting the revenue side of the property management through with a detailed and accurate approach. You will have showcased your superior organizational and time management skills to successfully meet your tight deadlines, honing in your expertise in multitasking and utilizing strong judgement when assessing difficult situations. You will have assisted in the implementation of structure and process for Lépine’s property management revenue. You will be fully immersed in the Lépine culture and handle your day-to-day tasks proactively and independently in a goal and results-driven manner..
