Skills & Experience
5+ years’ experience developing procurement strategies that drive down costs while maintaining quality
Developing vendor lists, sourcing new vendors, and evaluating existing ones
Experience in contract management, Standing Offer Agreements and managing renewals is essential
Ability to manage new and existing relationships, both internally and externally
Summary of the Role
Reporting to the VP of Finance and Administration, the Procurement Manager will lead the streamlining of vendor procurement and management.
This role will develop new, and enhance existing processes and procedures relating to all procurement activities. You will evaluate existing vendor and supplier relationships and manage Standing Offer Agreements, while looking to increase the vendor pool and secure new contracts. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for bringing a strategic procurement discipline to the operation, improving efficiency and driving significant cost savings. Improving vendor breadth by sourcing new suppliers, and ensuring quality by formalizing the bid, tender and evaluation process will be key. To further enhance the Procurement department you will look to create evaluation tools for vendors to ensure they offer a high level of service and evaluate the quality of goods and services procured.
Ferguslea Properties is entering a period of intense repositioning of the Accora Village Community. As the lead in procurement, you will play a key role in the estimation and costing of this project and support the construction team as they look to formalize budgeting and secure products for this extensive renovation. Over time you will look to implement key metrics to measure effectiveness and set goals for incremental improvements to the procurement process year on year.
