Skills & Experience

Background

You are well adept with the marketing spend categories such as digital media, paid search, agency fees and/or have prior experience in marketing or with an advertising agency.

Experience

You have 10+ years experience in indirect procurement along with expertise in contract management and vendor performance management.

Financial Acumen

You are a strategic doer who understands the impact implementation of a comprehensive sourcing strategy can have on the business profitability. Strong financial acumen with research and fact finding skills comes second nature to you.

Leadership & Communication

You are valued for being a hands-on entrepreneurial leader and find excitement in setting up from scratch. You have invaluable influencing skills and are known for voicing your opinion in a cohesive manner that is fruitful to derive results. You have exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Summary of the Role

The Director of Marketing Contracts & Procurement is responsible for developing and leading the contract management and oversight process of major marketing and advertising contracts.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sourcing strategy encompassing various global vendors from the ground up. You will also negotiate existing renewals and new contracts, with a mandate of securing favourable pricing and terms. The individual will partner closely with the Marketing and Commercial teams, playing a leadership role in developing contractual strategies, ensuring expected savings are realized. To succeed in this role, the individual must skilfully partner with in-house legal counsel, technology, and business partners, leading all aspects of contract management.

This role is based at the Toronto Corporate Office of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, reporting to the Vice President of Commercial Finance.
