Location: Ottawa

Since opening its first property in 2006, our client has captured 80% of the market in the National Capital Region and shows no signs of slowing growth. They are currently in the development of 18 new properties – comprising of 4.1 million square feet in Ontario. These properties are part of their 6-year, 10 million square foot expansion that will see 80 new properties added in Ottawa and the Greater Toronto Area by 2025. Skills & Experience

Training and Development Experience At least 5 years’ experience
Creation of Content and Delivery Previous experience creating content and delivery methods
Value of Education Your desire for continuous learning both for yourself and others
Operational Skills A strategic thinker with strong operational execution skills
Ability to Take Ownership Initiative in the implementation of new strategies/delivery methods
Strong Communication Comfortability coaching, training and presenting

Summary of Role

The Manager, Training is responsible for improving the productivity and effectiveness of the workforce by coordinating and facilitating a variety of tailored, experiential, and advanced skills-development training programs. The objective is to ensure that all employees have the necessary capabilities required to safely and competently perform their jobs. Under the direction of the Director, Human Resources, and in consultation with both internal and external stakeholders, this position is responsible for designing, refining and delivering employee training programs that are strategically aligned with the corporate vision and business goals. You will lead the needs assessment of tools and teaching requirements, creating new, and enhancing existing practices. The Manager, Training will deliver group training sessions and will need to have the ability to capture an audience. You will be responsible for mapping out annual corporate training schedules, take ownership for all training documents and records, and continuously perform evaluations to ensure training programs are meeting the current and future needs of the organization..
